The Ascon School Developer System

The Ascon School Developer System builds on the successful and robust foundations of Ascon Education's original system, the Staff Developer, but radically extends its scope and power.

The Ascon School Developer System is a complete School Improvement Planning, Self-Review, Staff Development and Performance Management system, which puts your staff at the core of developmental planning. It was designed in response to the heavy burden of paperwork faced by schools and the need to link all aspects of staff development analysis into central planning.

The System provides managers with planning tools for the short, medium and long term. It enables them to align objectives at individual, departmental and school levels, and to plan strategies to meet training needs. This ensures that all staff action and development takes place in line with school targets and that the school is constantly aware of and responsive to the training needs of all staff.

Providing a flexible framework for making the most of staff learning processes in your school, the System covers every aspect of Staff Development, including full CPD Portfolios, Performance Management, Lesson Observations, Induction, Probation, Training Activities and their evaluation and Training Needs analysis.

If the school wishes, all staff can have secure access to their own records and can manage their own CPD Portfolio on the network.

The System gives managers a powerful range of analytical tools, providing a constant monitoring of value for money. There are mechanisms for analysing Training Activities and their Evaluation, analysing Lesson Observations across the School and even the work of Consultants and supply staff. Other mechanisms track the impact of training on Performance Management objectives.  The system also fully supports the implementation of Investors in People, before and after Recognition.
